Hip & Back Carry

Hip Carry:

This is very similar to the tummy2tummy carry when used with a toddler. Start your rings just a little higher on your shoulder and place your child in the sling just as you would for the tummy2tummy position. Then, gently slide them around until they are resting securely on your hip.

Back Carry:

Again very similar to the tummy2tummy carry as well as the hip carry. I would start with your rings a bit higher as well so that they end up in a comfortable position when your done moving your child. Once in the hip carry, continue sliding your child gently around to your back. Always make sure the fabric is pulled up correctly to behind their knees and that their back is well supported.
